What is The Capture Life Workshop? – It’s a workshop for YOU!

This is not for professional photographers, but for moms & dads and those that love to capture life as it happens. Those that want to know how to control their cameras so that their photos look like what they had envisioned in their head, when they clicked the shutter!

Over the last several months we have had more and more people calling, emailing, facebooking, and twittering us with questions about their new cameras. These questions have come from Moms & Dads who bought a Digital SLR, in the hopes of recording those spontaneous moments in their lives, beautifully. (for those unsure of what an SLR is, it’s one of those big fancy cameras, that you can change the lenses on).

As your Sacramento portrait photographer, we can’t be at your home 24/7, photographing you and your family, and many of those special moments happen without warning- first steps, dad falling asleep with the kids reading bedtime stories, learning to ride a bike, etc. We will still be here to photograph your family photos, edit them in our unique style, and print them professionally; because let’s face it, you still need photos with all of you together! :) The kids still need photos with you in FRONT of the camera instead of always behind it! ;)

This workshop is for those moments between photo sessions, those moments that are unplanned, but just as special!

And that is why we are going to be offering this workshop!

When: Saturday January 23rd, 2010 from 10:00am- 3:00pm

Where: The Urban Hive- The Urban Hive is Sacramento's Largest CoWorking community. They are located in an amazing renovated 100 year old brick warehouse in the heart of Midtown Sacramento.

What's included in the workshop:

• Getting to know how your camera works (ISO, Shutter Speed, Aperture, etc.)
• Natural light and how to use it
• Creative composure to tell a story
• Hands on & Interactive (so bring your camera!)
• Lunch (lunch will be provided!)
• Working on a few surprises as well!

What to bring:

• A positive attitude (who wants to spend the day with Debbie Downer) ;-)
• YOUR CAMERA (It would also be helpful if you could bring your camera manual to refer to if necessary)
• Your laptop or a notebook to take notes (free wifi is provided)
• Your Questions (there will be a time for Questions & Answers at the end)
